Source: style.com

Yes it's here! Milan Fashion Week, the mecca of everything that is sexy in fashion! I'm in love with Bottega Veneta's latest collection. Tomas Maier is a genius!
But what I love the most about the show is the fact that I see all my favorites models. From the classy Carmen Kass to my new favorite Coco Rocha! And I love all the lady-like boucle jackets and sexy lace dresses!!! If only I have enough money and places to go, so I can wear all these beauties!!

.Acne Pistol Ankle Boots.

I've been not only dreaming, but saving, all my money to be able to own my very own pistol. Not the kind that can cause harm towards other, I prefer the kind that cause palpitations to my own hearts, like Acne's very own pistol ankle boots.
Finally, a versatile black ankle boots with good-sized heels that I can walk around, galloping, if I so choose. With L'oreal Melbourne Fashion Festivals coming up, my pistol will accompany me in times of fashion highs or lows, if that's even possible.

.Tibi Fall 2011.
Sourced: style.com

I've been really busy at work caused by massive delivery of stocks into the store. Australian retailer is ushering in their Autumn/Winter'11 collections and I had a sneak peek of what's to come into store last night, AMAZING COLLECTION!!
I work for a fab brand, David Lawrence, I'm so excited about their winter season, it's on trend with what's happening in international runway fashion. Can't wait for all the items to hit stores!! If you're after that amazing camel-colored coats or jackets, perfect winter-dress and great cashmere-blend knitwear, come and visit any David Lawrence store near you!

So back to New York Fashion Week! I've been updating myself daily through style.com and another designer that's been catching my attention is Tibi. For this season, they've covered many color spectrum, from a splash of baby-pink to delicious juicy-red. The touch of gold doesn't hurt either. The brand has definitely covered the shearling-jackets fever started by
Burberry, however staying true to what they
do best, prints.

And the one item I coveted from Tibi this season is...

...their navy colored sheer blouse against subtle metallic-bronze trousers

The Style Nook is...changing

Sorry to confuse everyone with the name changes. However, I happened to google the style nook today and find a wonderful blog named, http://stylenook.blogspot.com/
Now, I don't want to get on the wrong side of anybody. So since, the other blog was born before my blog, I've decided to be the one changing my blog-name.

Ultimately, The Sartorial Pursuit seems to best suit my current situation. I am on a Sartorial Pursuit, wanting to be working within the fashion industry as a stylist and fashion writer. I believe everything happens for a reason, so here it is...
Much more personal, much more focused, much more intimate...

.FASHION: New York Fashion Week Fall 2011.

.Jason Wu Fall 2011.
Source: style.com

With the excitement of New York Fashion Week, and me wanting to be there so badly, I have been stalking style.com to watch the latest shows. I have been amazed by the colors coming from the designers for this fall.
One of the talented designers that I've been waiting with anticipations for is Jason Wu. Look, maybe it's bias, but even the first lady of USA loves a piece of Wu. I am not disappointed!
I love the combination of lace, crystals and silk. Amazing bold colors of blood red and royal purple. I absolutely love the combination of black and white, along with bow-tie detail. The collections breathe femininity, elegance and class.
It's a royal flush!

.finally... ZARA Australia (soon).

Wednesday, February 9, 2011

After years of speculations, the Spanish chain-store giant is finally opening their door to Australian public. In Melbourne, Australia, ZARA will be located at the start of Bourke Street Mall, which is a prominent position on Melbourne's city shopping location.
The arrival of ZARA is definitely causing many teeth-grinding and knee-shaking actions within Australian-own chain store such as, Witchery or Country Road.
For me, I'm sure million other Australian customers agree, the arrival of ZARA will be welcome with open hearts and open bank accounts. After years of overseas trips, I am glad to finally have ZARA store so close to me. Although, I must say, I'm a little worried about my bank balance, ZARA's aftermath I should say.

.Comme des Garçons.
all photos sourced from STYLE.com

In all honesty, I've never paid much attention to men's fashion. Believe me, I enjoyed all the gorgeous male models on parade, BUT I just don't find menswear fashion as interesting as women.
So with a suggestion from a friend during one Chinese New Year dinner, I've decided to put my bias judgement aside.
Arm myself with an open mind and style.com extensive coverage, I've embraced menswear fashion.
Turns out, menswear have a lot to offer. From the very traditional look of Bally, to the quirky and colorful world of Comme des Garçons.
And for that reason, let the men parade down the runway cause I'm officially intrigued and am looking forward to next season's menswear events.
